Amul
Amul India appointed IDC as the official distributor for Bangladesh market in 2014 for its products in consumer packs. IDC introduced world famous Amul chilled dairy products including butter, cheese and chocolates. In ambient products, IDC has launched Amul UHT milk and wide range of flavoured milk.
Amul is an Indian dairy cooperative society, based at Anand, Gujarat, formed in 1946. It is a cooperative brand managed by Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (GCMMF), which today is jointly owned by 3.6 million milk producers in India. Amul spurred India's White Revolution, which made the country the world's largest producer of milk and milk products. Amul is one of the top five dairy firms in the world and number 1 in India. Amul is India’s largest exporter of dairy products and exporting to more than 20 countries across the world. Amul is loved by consumer at home and abroad, and was awarded the Most Trusted Brand of India by TRA’s Brand Trust Report, India Study 2019.
