Managing Director’s Profile

Mr. Ashraf Bin Taj is a successful business professional turned entrepreneur in Bangladesh. After doing MBA in 1994 from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka, he started his career with Berger Paints in 1995. Since then, he had an illustrious career of 19 years in renowned multinational and local companies including Berger, Nestle and ACI Limited, one of the largest business conglomerates of Bangladesh, before embarking on entrepreneurial journey in 2013 with IDC.

A few of his current positions include:
 Board Director, Tetley ACI (Bangladesh) Limited, a joint venture company between Tata Global Beverages and ACI Ltd.
 Independent Director, UCB Fintech Company Limited (Upay)
 President, Marketing Society of Bangladesh (MSB).
 Chairman, Marketing Committee, Asia Marketing Federation (AMF).
 Fellow, Institute of Marketing Malaysia (IMM)
 Brand Council Member, Superbrands Bangladesh.
 Speaker & resource person, different seminars and workshops at home and abroad.

IDC is a game changer in the field of FMCG distribution in Bangladesh. Within a very short period of time, we are fortunate to have globally acclaimed brands under IDC umbrella to serve Bangladesh market. We feel humbled to work with these great companies and to serve our customers with global standard products by harnessing the optimal output of all the sales and distribution channels.

We at IDC, nurture a culture of integrity and transparency through PPP – Partnership with People & Principals.  IDC ensures the best possible outcome for the brands it is entrusted with by its enthusiastic and self-driven team.

We approach business from a value maximization perspective, rather than profit maximization. We work towards creating value for all our stakeholders starting from our customers, channel partners, principals, our people and other stakeholders.

We recognize the constant changes in the business arena and the need to keep up with the changes to stay ahead of the game by embracing the 4th industrial revolution. As we march forward, we focus on improving our overall digital literacy across the company and adopt modern technologies to empower the team with upgraded support system to step up in the distribution game.

In the future, IDC will explore new avenues to expand its horizon aligning with existing and emerging trade channels, and contribute more to the life of its people, the society and the nation as a whole.
